(Chaimowicz, Marc Camille). Blanchflower, Melissa; Melissa Larner et al, eds. An Autumn Lexicon.
£ 27,  …

“This Marc Camille Chaimowicz publication, which accompanies his Serpentine Gallery exhibition — An Autumn Lexicon, is a unique hybrid between a catalogue and artist’s book. The artist has compiled a personal exhibition journal that takes the form of a French cahier: a book within a book. It comprises a visual index of technical drawings, designs and photographs relating to recent projects and research trips offering an insight into the processes and ideas that underscore his practice. This is mirrored by an abécédaire — another lexicon form — that he has written.

This catalogue features insightful and poetic responses to Chaimowicz’s work in two newly commissioned texts by Michael Bracewell and Mason Leaver-Yap, and in the reproduction of a seminal essay by Stuart Morgan, first published in 1983. This book is wrapped in a dust jacket of a new wallpaper design by Chaimowicz and includes a number of installation and archival images. It has been designed by Fraser Muggeridge studio, in close collaboration with the artist.” — From the publisher
