The first edition of the Cologne art magazine ‘Apex’ contains an original contribution by Martin Kippenberger and Albert Oehlen on pages 4-19 under the title “Ansprache an die Hirnlosen (für Andre Heller)” [Address to the Brainless (for Andre Heller)].
It consists of a co-authored text, much of it rhyming, from and about Vienna, with photographs taken in Vienna of such motifs as the “Erste Wiener Fiakerrennen” [First Viennese Hackney Cab-Race] held on 14 December 1984. Martin Kippenberger took first prize, Albert Oehlen came second, and the third prize was not awarded due to lack of serious participants.
