Artist book periodical printed in the 1970’s and organised around transnational collaborative projects dealing with counterculture, antiauthoritarian themes, gender and politics. 

French Schmuck is the sixth in the series of eight issues from the Schmuck anthological periodical by Beau Geste Press, Devon (UK).

Edited by Jean-Clarence Lambert and designed by David Mayor. Contributors include Robert Filliou, Jean le Gac, Christian Dotremont, Marcel Broodthaers, Christian Boltanski, Alain Fleischer, Jochen Gerz, Henri Chopin, Ben and Emilio Galli. 

Wrappers are bound dos-à-dos (it has no back cover but instead has two front covers, sharing a single spine). A beautiful limited edition printed in various monochromatic colours with bound inserts.

First edition. Limited to 550 copies 4to (29 × 21.2 cm) Softcover Unpaginated [98 pp] Texts in English Do-si-do binding wrapped on gray cardstock. Green printed on pale orange paper labels. Printed in various monochromatic colours.

Very good condition plus. Slight dent on a corner, more apparent on wrappers than the internal pages. Internally fine. Item ID: 1049.
