Part of the French underground press, La Presse Pirate contains comics, poems, jokes, letters from fans and reviews on other underground publications. Distributed during the first Angoulême International Comics Festival and featuring nudity, one of the editions was censored by the organiser when a parent complained after finding a copy on her 14-year old daughter. The other fanzine comrades decided to close their stands in protest against this censorship, which was ultimately overturned.
