A collaborative anthology of the unpublished and the unpublishable — selected and printed by the contributors. Prospective contributors were invited to submit 1000 copies of up to three 8 1/2" by 11" pages containing anything they wanted to include — printed at their own initiative and expense. Submissions were collated alphabetically. Biographical notes identify most of the contributors. Assembling appears annually in the early Fall. Its primary purpose is the production of printed work that is "otherwise unpublishable" because it is too unconventional to be accepted elsewhere. — From the publisher
Some pages are printed monochromatically with both handwritten and typed texts. A mixture of different coloured papers, images, prints, stamps and inserts make this publication special and visually rich.
