Disturbing crime story by Jeff Nuttall, the author of Bomb Culture.
Set in Yorkshire in the early 1970s, Jackson’s (the protagonist) itinerant lifestyle centres on his casual girlfriend, Rose. However, Rose is involved with a sinister triumvirate made up of herself, the sexist and manipulative Bullock, and the sinister and perverse Beeching. The action moves through the seedy pubs, dour hotels, drab backstreets and the gaudy neon wastelands of Leeds as Jackson’s tale gradually draws him towards a fatal destiny.
