This catalogue accompanies an exhibition held in Switzerland in the Summer of 2019. Edition of 750 copies, 375 red cover and 375 black cover.

Over the course of his tragically short twenty-four-year career, Steven Parrino, a lifelong New Yorker, exhibited in Switzerland no fewer than fourteen times. He consistently struggled to gain a professional foothold in his home city despite the support he received from the robust artist community there. The Swiss, contrarily fully and warmly embraced Parrino and his work. Though he exhibited in the United States, France, Italy, and the same zeal as Switzerland. This catalogue seeks to honour that trans-Atlantic partnership and the great friendships and intellectual collaborations Parrino forged with so many Swiss artists, writers, musicians, curators, institutions, collectors and patrons. The archival documents and images contained within these pages trace the history of Parrino’s life as New York artist finding his most receptive audience in Switzerland and the great artwork conferred to posterity as a result of that benefaction. — Publisher’s statement written on last page.
